Since update I have this "Failed to connect to server" unable to update or anything else

When you were installing or running the new version, did you ever encounter any firewall or antivirus prompt to limit its connectivity to the Internet?
Try to uninstall the program from the control panel and install the other version (if you are using non-win7 version, you can try the win7 version or vice versa).
Remember to let it bypass any firewall.

I have win-7 program was working OK (5.8.0.0) until new one 5.9.0.0) no messages from virus program or firewall, added to firewall program to see if that was the case but no respond, will re-install program and uninstall using windows, will let you know

Also, you should check if your IE can connect to the website http://www.readontech.com

Still the same "failed to connect to server" Yes IE connect to the website http://www.readontech.comrechecked firewall program is to be allow home and public

Due that I have several HD in my computer I have several backup image of my OS windows 7 for that reason I can play with installing and uninstalling programs in case of a issues, I can go back to previous settings.
With this windows restore wont work
The problem is Avira AntiVir Premium V9.0.0.448 what it make it fail I don't know, when installing program would not issue warning for
Readon Player so you believe is OK but is not.
Like I said this is for me, I don't know if anybody have the same problem with this Virus program, this is one of the best in the market

Seriously I do not know what is the cause.
I will be coming up with a diagnostic program for you and people who will be reporting similar problem to find out where exactly goes wrong.
Give me one more day to come up with this program.

Can you download http://readonplayer.com/plugin/diagnostic.zip and run the diagnostic software and reply me with the test result?

Do you mean that 5.9.0.0 works after restoring to an earlier settings?

December 7th 2009....still getting Failed to Connect to Server on version 5.9.0.0 Readon Movie Player for VLC Plugin. Emailed Developer as follows: Sir: This is the message that I get after installing the version 5.9.0.0 Readon Movie Player and run the diagnostic. I have tried everything to get the VLC Plugin installed but it will not connect to the server and when you click the link....mirror.ibeyondl (or whatever it is) I get an error telling me it is a broken link. HELP. I LOVE THIS PROGRAM. Connecting to Google... Passed Checking channel lists Database versions... Passed Checking Plugins versions... Passed Starting second round testing Connecting to Google... I have an internet connection which needs a username and password to access at all times.
Any idea how I can get this program to prompt me for it?

I can not also have updates or check live sports. I can not even visit Readontech.com.
I have also this message when checking for errors: Checking channel lists Database versions... errorThe operation has timed out
Pls help!!!

Pls help!!! can you access to http://95.211.0.137if you know how to open the command prompt (just type "cmd" in run), please help me to key in "nslookup readontech.com" (without the ") and "ping 95.211.0.137" tell me what message you see

Sorry but from my understanding of your words, you seems to be telling me that each time you try to access to the internet (like opening a website), you need to key in some password and a username.

I have same problem as above! I did as you suggested and i did "nslookup readontech.com" and got the answer, but when I ping 95.211.0.137 - I get "destination host unreachable" message? I do not have any programs in list. plugins work Ok 3rd party TV/radio work ok how to obtain a channel list?

Hi to every one, I am new in this forum, and I have same problems like you. I am running Vista 64, behind router, Readon v.6, kaspersky int. sec. 2009. , VLC 1.0.5, Adobe Flash Player 10, fire wall open. Update is working, TV and Radio is working, Movies on Demand work so - so, but with slow loading, and stopping every five minutes. VLC recording, and playing are not working. Here is my diagnostic: Connecting to Google... Passed Checking channel lists Database versions... Passed Checking Pluging versions... Passed Starting second round testing Connecting to Google... Passed Checking channel lists Database versions... Passed Checking Pluging versions... Passed Testing partial download of VLC plugin... errorThe remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found. Tests Completed On Internet I fined some info, but I am not so knowledgeable with this.
